The Ridonculous Race Prediction

Description

At long last, the whole cast of The Ridonculous Race has been revealed! (Despite being revealed nearly three months ago) A lot of people have been making predictions on which team goes far and win and whom team ranked last and forced to watch Garbage Pail Kids Movie! I'll be taking a page from them and make my own predictions.

I'm going to analyse every team based on their profile in Fresh TV's blog, the leaked first episode and the trailer. I'll start with the biggest losers, (not the show) and end with the biggest winners!

18th - Adversity Twins - Jay and Mickey

There are underdog characters whose face perilous obstacle courses in every corner. The twins are no different. I've chosen them as my prediction first boot because they have weak bodies. It's important to have speed, if not, stamina to win races.

As if that aren’t enough problems on their plate. And also, one of them thought that forming an alliance with another team was a bad idea since they proclaimed themselves as "Soft Meats".

There were underdog characters who had achieved far, like Cody and Cameron for example. Then again, that was a different show. Nevertheless, the twin could pull off an "Underdog" card and use their never give up attitude to win.

17th - Fashion Bloggers - Tom and Jen

At one point in episode one, they were in the lead. They wasted it all because they weren't too happy with the "Scare" challenge and they were complaining how their hairs would be ruined by wearing helmets. If they get distracted like that, they're not going to do well.

Why I didn't put them last? I originally did, but then there were that description summary about Dubai. It said that one team went shopping. According to the profile, Jen often fall victim to shopping sprees. There's a strong chance it's them. With episode two take place in Morocco, it's unlikely they'll be out there.

16th - Vegans - Laurie and Miles

It’s kinda hard predicting this team because I have no idea what this team will do. They want to win the money to donate to their favourite charities. They’re here because I can see the other teams advance further than them and if there’s a challenge where they have to eat meat, they’re going to have a problem.

15th – Tennis Rivals – Gerry and Pete

This team featured the oldest contestants in the Total Drama Franchise. That’s gotta mean something, right? For that logic, they could go as far as third place. Hell, they were in the lead at one point. However, their on-going rivalry had got in the way and placed them in the last flight. If they let it get to them, they won’t last very long.

If their rivalry isn’t the problem, their bodies can get exhausted quicker than the other teams. Nevertheless, their rivalry provides comedy between two old athletics. And this IS a buddy comedy show after all.

14th – Surfer Dudes – Brody and Geoff

Because of Geoff, who hasn’t competed since Total Drama Action, they’ll last a few episodes. However, I believe that if every team from Total Drama to be eliminated in each third of the ranking, this team would be my best choice. They don’t seem to have much to offer except friendship and comedy.

If the cast go to Australia, I can totally see Geoff become stoked of seeing his girlfriend in said country.

13th – Daters – Stephanie and Ryan

When I heard of them, two things can occur to them during the show – making out excessively like Geoff and Bridgette did, or argue with each other and then break up and then get back together again by the time they’re eliminated.

But then, a compelling comment appeared on their page. According to a member of staff, this pair will have a love-hate relationship. Ryan is the nice guy, while Stephanie, most likely, is mean. Think about it, they met two months and six days ago. And they started dating so soon?

My theory is that Stephanie is using Ryan to get what she wants. And she berates him when he doesn’t follow it through. In other words; they’re Ridonculous Race’s version of Gliscor and Pidgeot from Dark Amphithere’s Total Pokemon Series.

This pair could leave at any time. I can see them spend a long time in the race. They might be Action’s Geoff and Bridgette done right.

12th – Rockers – Rock and Spud

A part of me is wondering why I put them here. From I’ve seen from them so far, they’re more about having fun and rocking out. I know they won’t be in last since they can be seen in a different location from the trailer. And according to their page, Rock has a goal of winning the money. He may be more than what we’ve seen so far. Spud, on the other hand, could slow him down. The guy is a walking dull sloth.

11th – LARPers – Tammy and Leonard

They’ll be imagining they’re in World of Warcraft while they’re racing. As for Tammy, she appears to be imaginative as her teammate. I don’t know what she’ll do during the race, but she’ll talk at some point.

This could be a good time for Leonard to receive his character development. Let’s face it, he need a major wake up call. I can see them in any placement - whether it’d be last place or one of the finalists. Whatever happens, I hope they’re not cannon fodders.

10th – Mother and Daughter – Taylor and Kelly

I imagine them to be one of the villains. Taylor is the spoiled girl who always gets what she wants. And when she doesn’t, she’d complain. I’d bet there’ll be plenty of moments she’ll believe she’s the best at something only to fail miserably. She could shift the blame to her mother, like she did in the first episode.

It’s possible for Kelly to stop acting like a “cool kid” and be a proper mother and berate her daughter for her behaviour. I can see them bring troubles or forming an alliance with the other team. They could go further than here if they can.

9th – Stepbrothers – Chet and Lorenzo

They’ll be fighting for several episodes. I believe that once they’ve found something in common or decide to focus on the money, they could put aside their differences. Anything could happen with this pair. The only thing I’m certain is that they won’t place last. The trailer verified it.

If Chet shift his motivation from Lorenzo to the prize money, he could be a fierce competitor. However, Lorenzo is another one of the contestants who sucks at a lot of stuffs. With all the fighting and arguing they’re doing, they have a LONG way to win the race.

8th – Best Friends – Carrie and Devin

The moment I lay my eyes on this pair, my gut’s telling me they’re the main protagonists. They have a strong friendship and always have each other back. With Carrie’s feeling for Devin need to be reveal, they’re gonna stay for a while.

If there’s a twist, they could be Decoy Protagonists to hide the Real Protagonists. Nevertheless, I can see them winning, but I’d be surprised if they’re eliminated early.

7th – Geniuses – Mary and Ellody

If they use their big brains, they could form alliances and become a threat. The game may be a race, but it’s essential to be smart if they need to solve puzzles or figuring out which direction to go. Also, I noticed their page quote the word, “useless” on popularity and boyfriends. Could those be a hint…?

6th – Father and Son – Dwayne and Junior

With two accidents occurred in the first episode, Dwayne could be the Butt Monkey. Junior is the only kid to compete in Ridonculous Race. Those are going to be memorable. I could see Junior will be embarrassed by his Dad for several episodes. But the race would bring them closer.

5th – Reality TV Pros – Noah and Owen

Of all the teams featuring the Total Drama characters, this team sustain the best chance of winning. If the producers are being bias again, they’ll let the team to go far in the race. Plus, this could be Noah’s time to shine. They’re definitely gonna provide comedy amongst the pair. I’ll be shocked and disappointed if they’re out of the race early.

In the confessional, Noah declared himself to be more determined than ever to win the money. However, since Owen had made the finale on Total Drama Island, their chance of winning is low. But then again, this is a different show. Perhaps fate will otherwise shift them to the winning path.

4th – Police Cadets – Sanders and MacArthur

They have an interesting dynamic. There’s a conflict boiling between them, but they know how to work as a team. They have strong personalities and they’re prep for any upcoming challenge. I can see their relationship could be explored. There’s a possibility that they could form a conflict/alliance with the other teams. With Sanders’s logical nature and MacArthur’s impulsive nature, nothing can get in their way.

3rd – Ice Dancers – Jacques and Josee

I have a feeling this team is the main villain. The profile has pretty much verified it. They want to do whatever it takes to gain victory and that’s screamed “villains” to me. Their experience at the Olympics would benefit them in a long run. They already went off to a good start.

There’s something about Josee made me feel she’s the Big Bad while Jacques’s a Big Bad’s Minion.

I remembered coming across a blog about this team. It regarded their performance at the Olympics. Jacques was clearly upset Josee mentioned the silver medals. They want to win and if they’re the main villain, there’s karma involve. The blog said this - what’s worse than silver? Bronze. Third place is an average placement for the main villains. It would be humiliating for them.

2nd – Goths – Crimson and Ennui

There’s something mysterious about them, that’s for sure. Other than the fact that they’re goths, we know nothing about them. However, there are clues scattered around in Fresh blog. One staff mentioned they’re nicer than they look. And another staff confirmed that they will speak at some point.

Whoever they are, they’ll be a bigger mystery than Robot in All-Stars ever was.

More details about my theory are in this journal.

1st – Sisters – Emma and Kitty

This team has a good mix of order and chaos. Emma’s a competitive contestant who’s focusing entirely on winning the race. Kitty, on the other hand, wants to take pictures of the world and have fun. (And meet cute guys if she’s lucky) They have winner vibe in them. They have a strong bond and if both of them have their eyes on the prize, they could win the race.

I'm honestly rooting for Brody and Geoff. It'd be awesome seeing Geoff win a game for once. Getting 6th place out of 22 in TDI was a good rank, but tying for last place with Bridgette (after making out with her constantly and ignoring the game) in TDA sucked. I doubt Noah and Owen have a chance, but they still have a small one. As for Leonard and Tammy, they don't have a chance. I'm not against LARP (live action role play) people, but since Leonard got second to last in TDPI, I highly doubt he has a chance to redeem himself.
